Pump Overheated Heated Pipe
Problems occur when electric water pumps overheat, such as from a well running dry. The heat builds up and causes the pipe wall to thin. The remaining water present begins to boil and as a result, the pvc expands and balloons up to the point at which it bursts. See the picture to the right.
